Residential roads in all towns need attention. In Victoria, all services should be placed underground ; all wires and pipes should not remain visible and vulnerable. Rebuilding of most existing pavements/ sidewalks is vital for pedestrians: they should have even, horizontal surfaces, uninterrupted by steep inclines, by steps, garage ramps or obstructions; they should be safe and wide enough to allow for 2 persons walking abreast, one wheelchair or pushchair.
