Young people are the future, it is important that we give young people safe spaces and facilities to enjoy to show they are valued member of the vibrant Kingston community :)
Teenagers are a vibrant part of a healthy multigenerational community. So often their needs are overlooked. This money would be well used by extending their opportunities to play sport and socialise.
This is not an environmental project by any stretch of the imagination. There are many other funding streams for sport and recreation etc but far fewer for environmental projects. The competition, based around recycling and re-use, is primarily about the environment therefore the prize money should be spent on the environment and not hijacked for other purposes.
