Services at CDAU for our children are lacking. Therapeutic appointments given with month or more gap which leads us parents having to look for private help. It is already VERY expensive to cater for our angels let alone having to go privately for different sessions with different professionals, such as occupational + speech + other specialised services with no financial help whatsoever! If we talk about inclusion and opportunities, we need to give our children the service and aid to do so!!HELP
An autism center should be opened supporting parents from diagnosis to when the child becomes an adult Like the Lorna Wing Centres in U.K.
We need a specialised support Unit for Autism just like we have for the eating disorders. Parents need support from the very beginning all through their development. Services are sparodic and sometime vital time is lost if not followed by professionals
I suggested here that we should have private therapy subsidized. That way parents aren't only restricted to cdau inspire equal partners etc
